Today marks the last day - the 40th day - of lent. I hope that this has been an encouraging and hope-filled journey as we now focus in on Easter.
Our focus over this season has been centered on 3 specific areas.
REFLECTION:
Reflecting on what Jesus did some 2000 years ago and what he is actively doing now.
REPENTANCE:
Repenting of the sin that is wreaking havoc in our lives and separating us from God. And at the same time grasping the magnitude of God's grace and love that covers us.
RENEWAL:
Lent is a season focused on renewing what has withered and died within us, and celebrating a God who is an expert at renewing us.
So today, focus on these words that truly reflect what Easter is all about.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17
