The Apostle Paul was writing to a young leader named Timothy who was leading a church in Ephesus. This church was facing incredible difficulties and internal relational tension. Paul knew first hand how difficult church leadership was and so he shared words with Timothy that he had probably said to himself over and over again. "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
