DAY 25

The sin that has its tentacles wrapped around you is not more powerful than God. The guilt that is wreaking havoc within your mind is not louder than God's voice of forgiveness. The darkness that is created by your sin is not more dominating than the light that radiates from God's grace. The sin that has you convinced that you have no power over it, isn't that powerful. God is.

And that is why, God, won't allow you to be tempted beyond what you can withstand.

And that is why, God, will not allow your temptation to overwhelm you.

And that is why, God, will give you a way out. Always.

What sin keeps tripping you up? Look for the escape route that God is giving you. It might in the form of putting a password on an account or courageously sharing it with a friend. The way out might involve a radical set of decisions to protect you or maybe a decision to not place yourself in the situation again. No matter what the way out might look like, God is giving it to you. So take it. And embrace the freedom that comes from not allowing that sin to control your life.

And it is important to note: You will have to put this on repeat. There is another sin lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce.
