Do you like to wait for your food to be delivered?
Do you like to wait for your child to be born?
Do you like to wait to listen to Christmas music?
Do you like to wait for vacation?
Do you like to wait for your online purchase to be delivered?
Do you like to wait in line?
Do you like to wait?
Let me guess your answer. NO! Waiting is something that nobody, no matter the personality type, enjoys.
It is why I love how the Psalmist writes this thought: "We wait in hope for the Lord:" God's timing might not be your timing. (And it is rarely is your timing.) That is why waiting in hope is what will help you in any season. Waiting in hope creates anticipation of what God might do and what God can do in your life. Waiting in hope causes you to lean towards God knowing that He will show up in ways that you expect and definitely in ways you won't expect. Waiting in hope will force you to trust God at a level you do not think is possible.
If you are in a season of waiting, choose to wait in hope. God might not show up according to your schedule, but He will never be late.
